My son is at college and met some guys to smoke up with. He said it was shocking. They would go outside and smoke up a huge amount and then said they felt paranoid and had to go in where it felt safe. Then they would all disperse to their own rooms and watch TV, surf the net or just go to sleep. He was like, “Whu?”
He asked if they ever like sat together and smoked up and learned stuff. They were like, “Whu?” That’s crazy. He told them that’s the way we do it. We use it shamanically -respectfully - smoke up a tiny bit, trip hard for 3 or 4 hours and learn stuff. You know like have a psychedelic experience. It’s a tool you know, cannabis. They said that was the weirdest thing they ever heard.
One of them said, “You are delusional not thinking weed is a drug.” He replied, well, it’s been used by cultures around the world as part of social and spiritual life for 10,000 years and has only been called a “drug” for the last 60 or 70 years. I think history is on my side of the delusion.”
I dunno, does any one else out there approach cannabis as a sacrament a tool or shamanically? Does anyone else respect it? Or has everyone bought into the government/media created stoner culture?
